Sam is the man. You can trust him because he really shoots you straight. He will let you know when something really needs to be done and when you might be able to wait. I don't know anything about cars, so it's nice to have a mechanic like Sam that I can trust. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I was recommended to Sam by a friend, 2 years ago, when my car broke down the day after I moved to Los Angeles. Not only did Sam explain the problems with my car in a very detailed but clear manor, he lent us a car during the repair time, allowing us to find a desperately needed apartment. Since then I have gone to Sam for all of my car needs (He does smog checks for cheaper than most as well). He treats his clients and his employees as friends and it shows. It is hard to believe that not only do I completely trust my mechanic, I also really like him too.

For over four years I go only to Sam's repair shop to service my 170000 miles driven car. He and his mechanic were just the doctors the car needed. They're friendly, honest, excellent car trouble problem solvers and therefore top mechanics. Without hesitation I can recommend Sam to anyone without needing a second opinion.

I have been coming to Sam for more than 3 years now. He is always so good. He is very patient. Explains in detail what the problem is and what the different options I have. Even goes in detail sometimes to explain the function of a part is in the car. Since I started getting my car serviced at Sam's I have not even tried to go to some place else. Didn't ever feel the need to get a second opinion. Thanks Sam, keep it up.

I wouldn't go to anyone else. Sam and his mechanic are outstanding. Sweet, patient, honest mechanic place that's well priced and great at what they do. I met Sam before he had his own place and I followed him here after trying other less stellar mechanics in the neighborhood and around town. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and I happily recommend him to anyone anywhere. Sam's is one of Hollywood's hidden treasure's. They're the best, period.

I needed some work done on my car recently, and I remembered my uncle would always tell me whenever he'd have car problems, he would go to Advanced Auto Clinic. And since I don't have a set mechanic I go to, I decided to give this place a shot. I didn't even have to mention that my uncle referred me and that he is a loyal customer and Sam gave me a great quote for the work I needed that I couldn't pass up. He did a great job and was super fast as well. Definitely would recommend him to others.‎

Honest and Reliable!‎‎

Took my car in for an extensive tune-up which would have cost me thousands of dollars at the delearship. Sam is a great guy and doesn't try to sell you repairs that you don't need. Would definately recommend to anyone who wants an honest repair shop who will perform clean work in a timely manner with fair prices. If you want dealership type service without paying the top $$$, Advanced Auto Clinic is the place to go.‎

I don't write reviews at all, and the only reason I signed up for yelp is to say that Sam is a SAINT! And I've eaten at my fair share of delicious restaurants. ; )

This city is full of sleazy auto mechanics who try to squeeze every penny out of you. Stop going to them! Sam is your man. If you have any issue with your car or even just need an oil change... He's your man. I send everyone to him. Without fail.

Don't have the money to fix everything you need? He'll tell you what you need to get by until you can. I've honestly never met an auto mechanic so honest and more knowledgeable about cars, and you'll never get a quicker turn-around anywhere else.

I love yelp and have been using it religiously for years. I was never a member until I went to Sam's Auto Clinic. I wanted to warn all the good people of Yelp to never come here (espec ially if you are female).

I came here to get my clutch fixed. He told me it would cost $1300 and ended up charging me $1570. He did not tell me about the increase until I came to pick up my car a week later. After driving it for two months my car broke down with the same clutch problem. When I tried calling he did not respond. When I went there to talk to him with my boyfriend he accused me of not knowing how to drive the car. He is extremely sexist.

This man does not know how to make major repairs. He did not fix the flywheel right... (per my regular mechanic)... and my whole clutch melted. He would not give me any type of a refund or honor his refund in any way. When I took him to small claims court, the Bailiff said, "Welcome back" to him. I would never go back to him if my life depended on it.

I've been going to Sam for over 7 years now. He's the best! He's saved me thousands of dollars and has even lent me his loaner car while mine was being worked on. I send all of my friends to Sam and they love him too. He's honest, friendly and will do his best to save you money. I can't recommend him enough.

Everyone always needs a good trusty mechanic. I don't know what I'd do without Sam! He has taken care of my cars for over seven years - even my family members who live two hours away come down to have Sam give their cars a little TLC. He has always been very professional and honest about what my cars need, on top of being just a down-to-earth and friendly person. I recently got into a horrible 'oops i totaled your car while it was parked along with two other vehicles' accident and he was my guiding light through the horrendous process. Always helpful, always kind, and always terrific service! Highly recommended!
